MM: Hi, can you please introduce yourself and gives us a little of Arcane Church are about?
Naberiux – Sound of satanic Usurper (Vocals and Guitars in Arcane Church). To put it bluntly Arcane Church is about music at its darkness most chilling form. We try to create Chaos, Destruction powered by dark arts, occult and Terrorism, which we all feel very strongly about also something that 21st Century Black metal lacks. Basically trying to use music to invocate darkness.

MM: You’re a fairly new band, what would you say is your greatest achievement is at the moment? N: Greatest Achievement, Probably The progress we are making at the moment, we have just recorded our latest material and its exactly what we were planning it to be like and just introducing people to something which we feel is very avant-garde compared to other acts in the scene. |
MM: I’ve read that Arcane Church have suspended all activity due to various problems concerning the band. Is this anything to worry about?
N: Not at all the reason we said this is that people are aware of our activities at the moment. Agares and I are working on new ideas and concepts for future material soon to be unleashed and I can say it will be something which hasn’t been covered very well by any band similar so this will add new atmosphere again to the scene. Currently Agares and Adonnai are busy with college work so rehearsals are tight but we are just working on new ideas so really not suspended anything except updates on our progress.
MM: Your official first release DCLXVI - A Chapter of Mega Therion is going to be released soon on Crimson Wind Records, but I see that you have made 100 limited promo copies available, have you had any feedback (reviews etc) on these?
N: Not of yet we only recently got them out to people so we are awaiting this. We will update the web site with any reviews or feedback we receive. But from people which have heard it give very loyal and positive feedback, Thanks loads guys.
MM: Who would you say has been your main influences musically?
N: It’s hard really to say we get inspiration from many sources most not being musical. But if we had to say I would say Aborym, Dimmu Borgir and The Kovenant in the genre. Also we get inspiration from electronic dark music such as skinny puppy, Aphex twin etc, and I try and include a strong Goth overtone in a lot of our material. But as I said we get most our inspiration from history, myth and occult
MM: Are there any other projects the band are involved in?
N: Yes, Agares and I are helping good friends of ours in a new Goth Black metal act called “Frost Mourn”. The material is promising and it should be interesting. I also from time to time involve my self in a Death Rock/Goth rock project called “Necrophliac Relationships” with a great friend of mine; we will defiantly be shining more light on other acts and these in future.
MM: Haborym has recently left the band, was there any major reasons for this?
N: Well he had just sorted things out with higher education and wanted to concentrate on that. We are still very good friends and were sorry to see him be forced to leave but we feel now we have more flexibility and he is happy getting on with his life. We thank him for the good times and great dedication to AC.
MM: Are you looking for a permanent replacement or will you take over bass duties and use a drum machine from now on?
N: We are not planning any live things till we sort out things with the future. On “DCLXVI” I recorded bass parts. We are looking for a permanent replacement but aren’t too worried to find anyone yet as we are very busy. But if any one is interested please get in contact

MM: What do you hope to achieve in the future with Arcane Church and a musician? N: We just want to continue to show people that you can create something unique in the harsh business. There is no time for people who don’t care anymore the scene is not forgiving and any mistakes you make you will regret as we have found out the hard way but we have a lot of friends in the scene and some enemies, which should really give things a rest. But the only thing we want to carry on doing is being a group to bring something different and true to the scene. |

N: Just thanks for the support for the ones who deserve it, you know who you are. It’s been a great year for us and we are finally reaching the dreams and visions we have had since day one. We will continue to support the ways of darkness, terrorism and Satanism in times to come.
