MM: Where did the name Urshurark originate?
Urshurark: The name is originated from a book of Hildebrant brothers, a work that has very impressed me. It narrates of a dark earth of punishments and torments, as the music that i had intention to compose. We have also adopted this name for its strange cacophony and for its originality. I think that this name perfectly represents the style of our band.

MM: What was your main objective, message for your debut, and did you achieve it? And were you happy with it overall? Urshurark: In first, we wanted to create an album that represented our infernal visions, and now that we have created it, we are very happy and satisfied of our job because it represents a part of ourselves. Naturally that dark hahaha... Of course, we are also very happy that guys have appreciated our music. Now the album is out and we hope that with this re-edition we can reach more evil people. |

MM: Architecture of Perfect Damnation' has received great praises at Metal Mayhem, what has the reaction been to it everywhere else?
Urshurark: Oh yes, we have received a many good reviews for this album, criticisms there have been naturally, but the worst also have found equally, some interesting elements....
and this is good i think.
What I don't know, is.... sometimes the reviews in many magazine are purely technical critiques, they exclusively assemble on particular meaningless and from this the readers don't absolutely understand the spirit of the music. Do you think?
For me, the most important thing in the music is the soul, the inspiration.
MM: Your style of music is very unique, what were are/where you main influences?
Urshurark: We are generally influenced by the heavy, thrash, black, death, love generally a lot the Swedish scene and the heavy metal.
We are also influenced by the cinema, particularly from the old Horror films.
We combine these influences with a darker approach and a good dose of aggressiveness, nothing more.
Ours unique objective is to play hard and hellish!!!!!
MM: What are your plans now (tours etc)
Urshurark: We are preparing an European tour and we hope to play in more possible places and to bring a great show for our fans that are really dark and evil!!
We are at work also on some new songs for a new album, a video and maybe a split cd, but now I'm not able to tell you other news about it.
MM: You chose to sign to Butchery Records, if you can, what other offers did you receive?
Urshurark: I prefer not speak of this....
I’m very happy about the job that the Butchery Music is doing for us.
They are a very good label that works hard for us and we appreciate this.

MM: Is it a one-album deal with Butchery or more? Urshurark: For this time, we have signed only for this album, and for us this option was good. |
MM: Your album received 10/10 here, surely it is going to be near impossible to beat it (that’s if it’s possible)
Urshurark: We are at work on some new songs, we already have some new pre-recordings and I think we will have better way of showing ours best in the future.
MM: What do you think of Web/Fan Zines?
Urshurark: Zines are very important for the emergent bands and give the possibility to know a lot of interesting musical realities. All the underground is important, maybe more of the official scene, to be independent for write a review is for me essential !
MM: I’ve commented about the speed Freddy Bitetto in the interview, are you sure you don’t use a drum machine?
Urshurark: We use only a fucking mad man hahaha... the sound of the battery maybe results enough clean and balanced because we have used triggers so you have confused our drummer for a drums machine hahaha..., but if you listen attentively the job of the drums, you will realize that a drums machine cannot play in this way, with this variety of passages that only a man can create.
MM: Can I have a copy of your next album?
Urshurark: Yeah sure man, as soon it will be ready!
MM: Any last words to our readers?
Urshurark: Ok guys, listen to our album and don’t forget to visit our site to http://www.urshurark.too.it
Thanks for your support and thanx to Metal Mayhem for this interview and your great review for our album!!
Stay dark n' evil brothers!
