God Dethroned
The Toxic Touch
Band: God Dethroned

God Dethroned, at least in my opinion, have always
been somewhat of a "Best Of" band.
Every album I lay my hands on there are a handful of killers, and the rest just kind of blend together. It's no different with "The Toxic Touch". It's a little more technical than the usual, yet still pumped up with the expected chugga-chugga. The basic vocal pattern delivery with the occasional reverbed out growl, but plenty of cool leads that have me thinking recent Centinex or "Shadows & Dust" Kataklysm. A little more of the melodic influence as well, c/o some Dissection worship. Hell, God Dethroned even sound a little like old school In Flames at points. High points concern the hook-heavy "The Day You Died", the rumbling "2014" and the Slayer influenced "Falling Down". Ryan Bartek
